Early Life
Sandeep Maheshwari was born on 28th September 1980. Born & brought up in Delhi, Sandeep had been an introvert from his very childhood. However, with sharp observation and wide thinking, his interest in games like chess and cricket only helped sharpen his business eye. He did his schooling from Delhi. Then studied B.Com from Kirori Mal College under University of Delhi. Dropped out of college in 3rd year. After trying his hand at small medium businesses, his interest inclined towards photography. He then started his own company by the name of Mash Audio Visuals Pvt. Ltd (ImagesBazaar).
Career
In 2000, Sandeep Maheshwari got into photography profession as an amateur with a camera that costed 12000 INR.[8]
- 2000 - Worked as a freelance photographer.
- 2001 - Joined a multi level marketing company.
- 2003 - Got back to photography and created a world record in photography in Limca Book of World Records in fashion photography by shooting 10,000 shots of 122 models in 10 hours 45 minutes.
- 2004 - Started a home based photography studio and gradually expanded it by hiring few Assistant photographers.
- 2005 - Conceptualized ImagesBazaar; a stock photography website to capture and collect Indian themed images in order to depict Indian models.
- 2006 - Company named ImagesBazaar launched with 8,000 images.
Achievements and Awards
- Creative Entrepreneur of the Year 2013 by Entrepreneur India Summit.
- One of India's Most Promising Entrepreneurs by "Business World" magazine.
- Star Youth Achiever Award instituted by the Global Youth Marketing Forum.[9]
