Sandro Marcos

Sandro Marcos González (born August 13, 1973 in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico) is a Mexican professional boxer in the Welterweight division.[1]

Pro career

In July 2000, Marcos lost to Roberto Garcia, Garcia would go onto be the IBF Super Featherweight Champion. It was an undercard bout of a WBC Light Welterweight Championship fight between Julio César Chávez and Kostya Tszyu.[2]

Biggest victory

His biggest win was over hall of famer Johnny Tapia in Chicago, Illinois. This bout was the main event of a TeleFutura card.[3]

On September 12, 2009 Sandro lost to the Mexican American Brandon Rios in Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada.[4]

Legacy

González has fought many great fighters like Johnny Tapia, Roberto Garcia, Brandon Rios, Jose Luis Castillo, Jorge Paez, Carlos Hernández, Robert Guerrero, Jorge Teron, Luis Ramos Jr, Rocky Montoya, Harold Warren, and Kevin Kelley.[5]
