Sanguivoriphobia

Sanguivoriphobia is a specific phobia–an irrational fear of vampires. The name literally means "fear of blood eaters."[1]

Causes

According to the Mayo Clinic, the causes of specific phobias are not well understood, but risk factors include age, family members with phobias, temperament, and past traumatic events.[2]

Symptoms

Specific phobias cause feelings of excessive panic, dread, and terror—often a panic attack.[3] People with any type of phobia will try to conceal it, living in fear and not telling anyone else about it.[4]
