Santa Cruz del Islote (English: Santa Cruz Islet) is an island located off the coast of Colombia.[1] It is a part of the Archipelago of San Bernardo.[1] Its significant population compared with its small size (approximately 0.012 km²) results in it being the most densely populated island on Earth.[2]

Geography

It can be accessed by a ferry ride from the port of Tolu. The residents have to use neighboring islands as cemetery[2] and recreation grounds, while the residents work on the mainland instead of on the island. The students attend school on the neighboring mainland. The Mucura Island Hotels are a prime source of work for the residents.
