Sarada Uchiha (うちは サラダ Uchiha Sarada) is a fictional character from the manga and anime franchise Naruto, created by Masashi Kishimoto. Sarada is the daughter of Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno. She inherited traits from both of her parents, like her mother's "Cha!" (しゃーんなろー! Shannarō!) verbal tic and her father's aloofness and reluctance to acknowledge certain people, but she is not above commending them when they truly deserve it. Despite the fact that Sarada inherited both Sasuke's hair colour and eye colour, most of her facial features and expressions were inherited from Sakura. She also inherited her father's Kekkei Genkai, the Sharingan, and her mother's naturally good control over chakra, thus being able to gather chakra into her fists and cause a devastating effect on a target. Sarada is a central character of Naruto Gaiden: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring, searching for her estranged father while feeling that she and Sakura are not related. Gaining her Sharingan in the process, but not having a good first impression of her father, Sasuke, Sarada feels hurt and betrayed when she suspects being Karin's biological child as the two wear similar glasses. While Naruto helps her realise that family is not a matter of blood, Sarada later learns from both Sakura and Sasuke that Sakura truly is her biological mother, whike Karin herself explains that she was just Sakura's midwife. Before leaving again, Sasuke shows Sarada how much he loves her by hugging her and poking her forehead and promises to come home soon. Having admired Naruto and his dedication to his village, Sarada makes it her goal to become Hokage one day. She finds Boruto annoying, but is later hinted to have a mutual crush on him.
