Sarah Einstein (born 1965) is an American essayist and writer of memoir and literary nonfiction. A recipient of the AWP Prize for Creative Nonfiction (2014),[1] the Pushcart Prize[2] and a Best of the Net Award[3] (2011), Einstein is the author of Remnants of Passion (Shebooks Press, 2014)[4] and Mot: A Memoir (University of Georgia Press, 2015).[5]

Life and work

Sarah Einstein was born in Huntington, West Virginia in 1965. She earned an Master of Fine Arts in creative writing at West Virginia University in 2011. Einstein's essays have appeared in The Sun, Ninth Letter, Pank Magazine, Fringe, Quiddy, and Hawai’i Pacific Review, among other literary journals. She is the fiction editor at Stirring: A Literary Collective[6] and co-author, with Dominik Henrici, of Writers for Dinner.[7]
