Sarfaraz Khan (cricketer)
Sarfaraz Naushad Khan (born 27 October 1997) is an Indian cricketer who plays for Mumbai cricket team and Royal Challengers Bangalore. An aggressive right-handed batsman, Khan played for the India Under-19 cricket team at the 2014 & 2016 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup.He is also the most (7) 50+ scorer in the tournament history.[1]
His father is a cricket coach.[2]
In July 2015, it was announced that Sarfaraz will join Uttar Pradesh ahead of the 2015-16 domestic season as his father hails from Azamgarh and was in talks with Rajiv Shukla, the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association secretary for the transfer.[3]
IPL Career
Sarfaraz plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL.
In 2015, he was signed up for Rs. 50 Lakhs by the RCB and became the youngest player to play in the IPL. On his second game in IPL, he made an unbeaten 45 off just 21 balls against Rajasthan Royals.
In 2016, Sarfaraz produced an unbeaten 35 off just 10 balls with groundbreaking knocks of boundaries in the Royal Challengers' opening game of the IPL season against Sunrisers Hyderabad, helping his team to a total of 227.
