Sarvagnanagar
Sarvagnanagar, formerly known as Cox Town, is one of the oldest neighbourhoods in the city of Bangalore, India. It is located in central Bangalore, and begins roughly near the eastern end of Ulsoor Lake.
History and name
The city has his roots from British Cantonment. The Wheeler road is named after General Wheeler, the Assaye road brings back memories of battles fought by Madras Sappers. In 2007, the State Government changed the name from Cox Town to Sarvagnanagar. But the old name of the Coxtown is Doddakunte (literally means Big lake) village.

Important Lankmarks
ITC Infotech Park has become a part of industrial heritage located on Banaswadi Road. It used to be Peninsular Tobacco Factory in 1920s, subsequently becoming Imperial Tobacco Company post-independence.
