Sarvodaya Vidyalaya is also the first and only School in India to provide Phonetics and English Accent training for students from Grade 1 to Grade 7 even though their curriculum doesn't require them to do so. Special faculty members were recruited from England, Scotland, USA, Canada and South Africa since 1983 for these scheduled trainings and students were required to attend those sessions outside of schooling hours or during weekends. The management stopped this practice in 2000.
