Sastamala is a town and municipality of Finland. It was created January 1, 2009, when the municipalities of Vammala, Äetsä and Mouhijärvi were consolidated into a single town.

It is located in the province of Western Finland, and is part of the Pirkanmaa region. The town has a population of 25,313 (30 June 2015)[2] and covers an area of 1,387.56 square kilometres (535.74 sq mi) of which 96.14 km2 (37.12 sq mi) is water.[1] The population density is 19.6 inhabitants per square kilometre (51/sq mi).

Neighbouring municipalities are Huittinen, Hämeenkyrö, Ikaalinen, Kankaanpää, Kokemäki, Lavia, Nokia, Punkalaidun, Ulvila, Urjala and Vesilahti.

The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
