Sateri
Sateri is a manufacturer of viscose staple fibre. It is one of the largest companies[1] in the viscose staple fibre industry, with an annual production capacity exceeding 500,000 metric tons.[2]
Derived from wood cellulose, Sateri's viscose staple fibre is soft and absorbent, provides a silky touch and adds color brilliance to fabrics.
Sateri operates through three viscose staple fibre mills in China: Sateri (Jiangxi) Chemical Fiber, Sateri (Jiujiang) Fibre, and Sateri (Fujian) Fibre a viscose staple fiber mill in China. The company’s corporate office is in Shanghai.
Sateri's products can be applied to manufacturing a broad range of textile products such as high-end underwear, bedding materials, casual sportswear, business suits, children's clothings, etc., as well as for non-woven materials such as wipes, masks and other personal hygiene products.
History
Sateri commenced operations in 2002 when it began constructing a viscose staple fiber mill in Jiangxi Province, China. The mill went into commercial production in 2004.
Its second mill was constructed in Fujian Province, China. Sateri began construction of the facility in 2010, and it commenced operation in December 2013.
In June 2015, Sateri (Jiujiang) Fibre Co., Ltd. completed the asset acquisition of the previous Jiangxi Longda. Following the acquisition, the viscose staple fiber business segment previously under Longda is now operated by Sateri.
Sateri's business was previously one of the businesses in a listed company on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange Limited under the stock code: 1768.hk. In December 2014, the listed company disposed its viscose staple fibre business as well as the name "Sateri" [3] and was renamed Bracell Limited in February 2015.[4] Sateri is now a wholly owned subsidiary under RGE Group [5]
