"Saturday Love" is a top ten US R&B hit, and a top ten UK hit song by American R&B singers Cherrelle and Alexander O'Neal; released in October 1985. The song appeared on Cherrelle's gold album, "High Priority" on Tabu Records and included an extended spoken dialogue introduction skit set in a bar. The song peaked at #2 on the US R&B chart, and became a moderate pop hit peaking at #26 on the US Hot 100 in the spring of 1986.[1] It reached #6 on the UK singles chart, and #7 on the Irish Singles Chart.

In 2007, O'Neal re-recorded the song for his album Alex Loves..., released in February 2008. This version featured the vocals of Bianca Lindgreen, a long-time friend of O'Neal's.

In 2008, "Saturday Love" was sampled for Sway DaSafo's British Hip Hop/R&B hit "Saturday Night Hustle" which featured vocals from R&B singer Lemar. An interpolation of the chorus was used in Miami Hip Hop group Grind Mode's 2008 single "I'm So High", the edited version of which was referred to as "She's So Fly (I'm So High)".[2][3][4] Queen Latifah also sampled the song on "Keep your head to the sky", the Japan bonus song on her 1998 album Order in the Court.

Also in 2008, "Saturday Love - 2008 Remixes" was released in a special edition EP featuring 11 club/house remixes as well as an accapella.

Samples of O'Neal's vocals from the original 1985 release have been used in the dance hit "My Feeling" by Junior Jack.

O'Neal and Cherrelle reunited and performed the song at the 2011 BET Awards and afterwards, presented the Best New Artist Award

Ruben Studdard and Keke Wyatt cover the song on her 2011 LP Unbelievable, and they performed the song together in May 2011 on The Mo'Nique Show. Toro Y Moi also covers the song on his 2011 EP, Freaking Out.

Canadian musician Kaytranada sampled the song in 2013 for his song Seeu Enni Way.
