Savam


Savam/Shavam (Malayalam: ശവം) is a black comedy Malayalam film released on Nov 28th of 2015. The film is written and directed by the debutant Don Palathara. The film that was shot entirely in black and white is 64 minutes long. The first preview of the film was conducted by Cochin Film Society at Children's park theatre in Cochin, India. The film featured about forty new talents.

People

Savam is produced by Shijo K George, Aneesh Chacko and Molly Pm under the banner of Travancore films. Cinematography of the film is handled by Prathap Joseph. The sound design and location sound are done by Sandeep Kurissery and Jiji Joseph. The film is edited by Naranippuzha Shanavas.

Plot

Savam's plot revolves around a middle-class family home where a bunch of relatives and friends of a dead person are gathered. The film attempts to look at the local culture in a satirical way.
