Save Our Tigers

Save Our Tigers is an organization that help in improvement of the tiger species. This organization works on saving the tigers from hunting for skin and others. It was controlled by the NGOs.[1]

Endangered Tiger species

Endangered

The following species of tiger are endangered:

  1. Bengal tiger
  2. Indochinese tiger
  3. Siberian tiger

Critically endangered

The following species of tigers are critically endangered:

  1. Malayan tiger
  2. Sumatran tiger
  3. South China tiger

Variant colours of Tiger

The tigers sometime born with variant colour such as the White tiger, Golden tiger and Black tiger. These species are preserved in the National parks. Newly found species of Maltese tiger is unproven, but thought to be original.

Tiger Poaching

Tiger poaching or hunting tigers illegally for their skins. The skin of the tiger costs more than 5 million. In India, tigers in the wild were above 1 lakh in the 20th century. But now they reduced to just 3000 in the wild, due to poaching.
