Scandinavian Design, Inc. was founded in 1955 by Hans Lindblom selling the designs of Swedish designer: Bruno Mathsson. The showroom was first located at East 53 Street in Manhattan, but moved to East 59th Street where it was located until 1998, when moved to 347 Fifth Avenue in New York City. The company closed its showroom in 2014, but plan to relocate within New York in 2016.
During the years more and more designs were added and today Scandinavian Design, Inc. represent many designers and manufacturers from Denmark, Finland and Sweden.
