The scarlet-breasted woodpecker (Dryobates cathpharius) is a bird in the Picidae family native to Asia. It can be found in the eastern Himalayas (in Nepal, Bhutan and north-eastern India) and in northern and western Myanmar. It was formerly assigned to Dendrocopos cathpharius.[2]
