Günther's dwarf burrowing skink or Günther's burrowing skink (Scelotes guentheri ) is a species of skink in the family Scincidae. S. guentheri is endemic to Natal, South Africa.[1][2] Limbs are greatly reduced: forelimbs are entirely lost and the hind limbs retain only two digits.[2]

Etymology

Both the specific name, guentheri, and the common name are in honor of German-born British herpetologist Albert Günther.[2][3]
