Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya

Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya (SKV) is a girls school in Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh in India. It was established by the Rajmata of Gwalior State, Vijaya Raje Scindia. The first president of India, Dr Rajendra Prasad , in the presence of Maharaja Jiwaji Rao Scindia, Maharani Vijaya Raje Scindia and Mrs Rajvanshi Devi Prasad , officially declared Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya open .The year was 1956. The school started on its journey with 31 students -out of which only six were boarders. [1]

Jyotiraditya Madhavrao Scindia, Priyadarshini Raje Scindia, Yashodhara Raje Scindia and Shobhana Bhartia are among the board of governors of SKV.[2] The school is at 2nd position because of the hard work and corporation of students, faculty, administrative staff and board of governors.
