Screen Producers Australia

Screen Producers Australia

Screen Producers Australia was formed in 1956. Originally named the Film and Television Production Association, the trade organisation changed its name to Screen Producers Association of Australia (SPAA) and again in 2013, it rebranded to Screen Producers Australia (SPA).[1][2]

Screen Producers Australia is a membership-based organisation that is governed by a council made up of elected representatives from feature film, television and interactive production. SPA unites the screen industry to campaign for a healthy commercial environment and supports the interests of businesses, large and small, in their production of feature films, television programs, interactive content and games across all genres and formats. Screen Producers Australia organises an industry conference every year called the SCREEN FOREVER Conference. The event is Australia’s leading media and entertainment conference and the largest congregation of content creators, producers and people working in the screen industry. It provides business and governance information, insight, inspiration, networking opportunities and professional development.[3]

Awards

The awards recognise excellence in 11 categories of film, television and interactive productions and are presented annually.[4]
