Sean Riley & The Slowriders is a Portuguese band from Coimbra with a sound close to music of americana roots such as folk, rock and blues. The band represented Portugal at the 2010 Eurosonic Festival.[1]
History
Afonso Rodrigues, the front-man, started out by writing songs on his own under the alter-ego Sean Riley. While DJing at Rádio Universidade de Coimbra he met other radio hosts, Bruno Simões (ex-Tu Metes Nojo) and Filipe Costa who joined in.[2] Filipe Rocha was the fourth musician to complete the band.
