Sebasco Harbor Resort

Sebasco Harbor Resort, is a privately held destination resort located in mid-coast Maine, 48 miles (77 km) north of Portland.[1] It is situated at the tip of Popham Peninsula in the Town of Phippsburg, 12 miles (20 km) due south of Bath, Maine on over 550 acres (220 ha) and tidal estuaries.[2] Founded in 1930 by bakery magnate Nate Cushman, it was frequented by Eleanor Roosevelt.[3]

Sebasco Harbor Resort contains over 133 guest rooms.

Sebasco History

There is the Main Lodge, the Lighthouse – built in 1945 and containing 10 guest rooms, cottages, Harbor Village Suites.

In 2008, Sebasco Harbor Resort was named to Parents magazine’s Best Beach Resorts for Families list.[4] In 2011, it was named to Spa Index Guide to Spas Best of Family Spas (Maine) list [5]

Renovations

As part of a $12 million renovation, the Fairwinds Spa Suites.[3]

In the early Summer of 2015, Sebasco renovated the prior Gift Shop to a Coffee Shop named the "Seachest". This great addition is run by one of our very own, Cherie. Who bakes fresh every morning. Her specialities include; Cinnamon Streusel Coffee Cake, and Scones which were featured in the New York Times. Stop in for a cup of coffee!

Amenities

There are two restaurants at the Resort – The Pilot House and The Ledges. Both restaurants focus on homegrown and local food purchasing from local and regional organic farmers, lobstermen, fishermen, cheesemakers, dairy farmers, and cattle ranchers. They are overseen by Executive Chef Isaac Aldrich a Maine Native, and graduate of New England Culinary School.[6]

Sebasco Harbor Resort contains a 9-hole golf course and 3-hole regulation length course for beginners. Full-service waterfront spa, tennis courts, cruising boat, playground, fitness center, kayaking, recreation center, and lawn bowling. The Quarterdeck is a rec hall of the type made famous in the film, Dirty Dancing.[7] In the summer, the Resort provides a day camp for children. Corporate retreats, weddings and family reunions are also held at the Resort.[6]

The saltwater pool, a sun warmed oasis, the most popular spot on property. Replete with lounging chairs and umbrellas.

Camp Merritt; A children's day camp. Our staff will keep your kids entertained while you relax by the pool. Activities include Tie Dye, Ice-cream making, pool time, kickball and many other activities. If your kids love fun, send them to camp Merritt located near the Quarterdeck,

Management: Bob Smith purchased Sebasco Harbor Resort in 1997. Michael J. Lynch is the General Manager/Partner.
