Sedum clavatum is a succulent plant that grows blooms that elongate into long stems with time. They are great with rock gardens. The blooms are white with a star habit. This plant requires very porous soil. Like almost all succulents, S. clavatum needs to be protected from frost and is hardy to 32 °F (0 °C). It grows 4 to 6 inches tall at mature height and 8 inches wide. Water often when the soil is dry, but is better to underwater it then to overwater it. The amount of sun is 4 to 6 hours. The bloom-time is mid-summer, duration is annual, water use is average and the maintenance level is easy. They are great for semi-arid and arid climates from southern California to mid-Texas, but can be grown elsewhere.
