Seema Louise Ghiassi Kennedy (born 1974) is a British Conservative Party politician. She has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for South Ribble since May 2015. She is also the first Member of Parliament of Iranian descent. [1]
She was educated at Westholme School and Pembroke College, Cambridge.[2]
Kennedy had previously fought Ashton-under-Lyne at the 2010 general election, coming second to Labour's David Heyes.
