Senur is a census town in Vellore district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[1] Senur had a population of 7558. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Senur has an average literacy rate of 59%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 66%, and female literacy is 51%. In Senur, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
Temples
Angallamman Temple of over century old is situated in Senur. More than 300 years old Siva temple is also situated . On every prathoshams poojas are held in Siva temple. Mayanakkolai festival celebrated at the grave yards located at the bank of river Palar is the main festival celebrated by the Senurians.
