Seoni Malwa is a city and a municipality in Hoshangabad district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.
Demographics
As of 2011 India census,[2] Seoni Malwa had a population of 86,195. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Seoni Malwa has an average literacy rate of 74%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 81%, and female literacy is 67%. In Seoni Malwa, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age. Seoni malwa is one of the best agricultural lands, maximum population of Seoni Malwa are farmers. Education
Primary education
Purani Balak Shala, is among the oldest of the primary schools in the city (government). It is functional from before independence and till date. Another government primary school is at Jayastambh Chowk, which is known as Navin Shala. With recent development, educational schemes and other government, public-aided efforts, new schools have been set up in different localities like Bheelpura, Gotya Pura and Banapura.
Higher secondary education
There is one central government school called Kendriya Vidyalaya which is affiliated to central board of secondary education (CBSE) and it is authority/run by ministry of human resource development (government of India) and Shashkiya Ucchhatar Madhyamic Vidyalaya also known as high school among the people is a popular school for matriculate education affiliate to board of secondary education, Madhya Pradesh (MPBSE)
Among other private schools, there are Nalanda higher Secondary School (Oldest private school of the city), Tagore Public H.S. School, Bethel School, Narmada Valley Academy, Jeva Jyoti, Saraswati Gyan Mandir High School etc.
Graduation & Post Graduate Education
The government college Kusum Mahavidyalaya offers bachelor's degree courses in Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Science and Computer Applications. Due to city's locality nearer to district headquarter Hoshangabad students also opt for other interesting degree courses available at NMV College in Hoshangabad. An interest to professional degree courses like Bachelor of Engineering and Pharmacy have been observed among the city people in recent few years. City has a growing numbers of Engineering Graduates per year, which contributes largely to the literacy and awareness level of the area.

Seoni Malwa hosts the life style of a peaceful city along with traditional values. There is Presence of Famous temples like Shankar (Ganesh) Mandir, Hanuman Mandir (Naka), Govardhan Mandir, Devi (Mata) Mandir, Narmada Mandir, Gayatri Mandir, Radhavallabh Mandir, Jagdish Mandir, Ram Mandir, Bada Mandir, Kalka Mandir and many more temples nearby. It is said that there is a tunnel from Jagdish Mandir to ShanKar Mandir. The Jagdish Mandir has an indoor bavadi inside, which serves as the source of water used for temple activities. Shankar Mandir was anciently Ganesh mandir and later it was named as Shankar Mandir after establishment of shivlingTemplate:Clarafy by mahatmas in old times. Renovation work for different temples have made them stand with more attractive look in the city. People live with harmony and peace and celebrate all festivals. Along with temples there are tombs and mosques also in the city n amely Choti (small) Masjid, Badi Masjid, Raja and Rani Tombs, Idgah Lake, Dargah at Jaystambh chowk, Jail Road and behind Jagdosh Mandir are famous ones. People of all religion visits these places to prosper with the day-to-day life.
Lifestyle
Seoni Malwa is a small developing town, and hence it inherits its lifestyle from the villages and nearby cities. Nightlife concept is yet not reached here and social dominance is still in place. Evening can be passed visiting temples or the park. there numbers of goods restaurants (Dhaba) out side cite.
Seoni Malwa is famous for its Dol Gyaras festival, Bhilet Baba Mela, Hardol Baba Mela.
Kandeli River is flowing just at between the city. River Narmada is flowing very nearer to the city which consist of bank like Babri Ghat, Aamli Ghat, Bhiladiya Ghat, Umariya Ghat.
Seoni Malwa is a religious city consisting of Temples like Bhilet Baba Temple, Sankar Mandir, Shitla Mata Mandir, Keda Pati Mandir and Bada Mandir, etc.
Transport
State Highway MP SH 15 passing through this city. National Highway 12 (India) is approx 60 km from Banapura and passes through Obedullaganj. National Highway 69 (India) is 35 km from Banapura via Hoshangabad. National Highway 59A (India) is 30 km from Banapura and is 23 km from Banapura and passes through Timarni and Harda. Seoni Malwa is well connected with Mumbai, New Delhi, Bhopal, Jabalpur, etc., via broad gauge train route. A railway station is located at Banapura known as Banapura (BPF) Railway Station. Because of the high traffic in the city the new bypass was constructed and is about 8 km.
