Sergey Ryabtsev (Russian: Сергей Рябцев) plays violin and provides backing vocals for the Gypsy punk band Gogol Bordello.
He was born on 11 September 1958 in Gorky City, now Nizhny Novgorod, RSFSR, Soviet Union. In 1994, he immigrated to the United States (New York City) and joined Gogol Bordello in 2000.
In the 2005 movie Everything Is Illuminated, the 2006 documentary film The Pied Piper of Hutzovina as well as in Madonna's 2008 directorial debut Filth and Wisdom, he appeared alongside the other band members of Gogol Bordello.
