Setiostoma chlorobasis is a species of sedge moths in the genus Setiostoma. It was described by Zeller in 1875. It is found in Brazil and Panama.[1]
The wingspan is about 11 mm. The forewings are yellow on the basal half. The distal margin of the yellow area is edged with a dark brown line, the preceding fascia paralleled by a wider band of iridescent blue to violet. The apical third of the forewing is dark brown. There is a submarginal line running from the costa at the apical two thirds to the tornus and an iridescent blue to violet, inwardly curved line from the apex to the middle of the termen. The hindwings are dark brown with a white patch on the basal half of the anterior margin.[2]
