Shahriston (Tajik: Шаҳристон; Persian: شهرستان) is a town and jamoat in north-west Tajikistan. It is located in Shahriston District in Sughd province. It is the administrative center of Shahriston District, in the central part of Sughd province. The jamoat has a total population of 16,295.[1]
