Shakur Stevenson

Shakur Stevenson (born June 28, 1997) is an American amateur boxer in the Bantamweight Division.

Personal life

Stevenson is the oldest of 9 siblings. He began boxing at 5 years old and cites Floyd Mayweather and Andre Ward as influences.[1]

Amateur career

Stevenson had a very successful career at Junior and Youth Level, winning the 2014 AIBA Youth World Championships and 2014 Youth Olympic Games. In 2015 he won the Senior US Olympic Trials thus qualifying for the US boxing team at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil.[2]
