Shambala is a town and the seat of Xiangcheng County,[1] southwestern Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, western Sichuan province of Southwest China. Before 2005 it was called Sangpi (Chinese: 桑披; pinyin: Sāngpī; Cantonese Yale: Sōngpēi).
