Hesham 'Shammi' Iqbal (Urdu: ہشام اقبال; born 19 January 1975) is an English cricketer. Iqbal is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm medium pace. He was born in Farnborough, London.

Iqbal represented the Kent Cricket Board in List A cricket. His debut List A match came against the Worcestershire Cricket Board in the 1999 NatWest Trophy. From 1999 to 2003, he represented the Board in 8 List A matches, the last of which came against Derbyshire in the 2003 Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy.[1] In his 8 List A matches, he scored 105 runs at a batting average of 21.00, with a high score of 33.[2]

He currently plays club cricket for Sevenoaks Vine Cricket Club in the Kent Cricket League.

Family

His father, Asif, played Test and One Day International cricket for Pakistan. He also played first-class cricket for Hyderabad, Karachi Blues, Karachi, Karachi A, Karachi Whites, Pakistan International Airlines, Kent, Pakistan International Airlines B, Pakistan International Airlines A and National Bank of Pakistan. He also played just List A cricket for Sind.
