Sharad Shetty

Sharad Shetty (1954–2003) was an Indian racketeer based in Dubai. He was known to control most of the cricket betting racket in the Indian sub-continent.

Sharad was shot dead at The Indian club in Al Nasr, Dubai by rival Chhota Rajan's henchmen on 19 January 2003.[1] Four gangsters from the Chhota Rajan troop (Karan Singh Mansingh, Manoj Mudanna Kotian, Amar Bahadur Bam and Vimal Kumar Ram) were executed by the UAE authorities as punishment for Sharad's assassination.[2]
