Sharmila Melissa Yogalingam

Sharmila Melissa Yogalingam (born September 13, 1985) is an award nominated writer[1] from Singapore. She was specially commissioned to write the lyrics of the theme song for Project Hope (Singapore), which ended up being entitled 'With Hands United'.[2] The song was performed at the beginning of Project Hope in 2009, and served as the finale song for this important national televised fundraising event as well.[3] The song was so well received, it was once again performed the following year, in 2010's Project Hope.[4]

In 2011, Yogalingam was nominated for the prestigious Pesta Perdana awards, in the category for Best Theme Song, for her song 'With Hands United'.[5]
