Shaumiani (Georgian: შაუმიანი, Armenian: Շահումյան Šahumyan) is a daba (small town) in the Marneuli Municipality, Kvemo Kartli region of Georgia. Until 1925 it was called Shulaveri or Shulaver (Armenian: Շուլավեր Šulaver) and then was renamed after Stepan Shahumyan. As of 2002 its populations was 3630 persons.[1]
