Personal Life

Tamana Association was conceived on the basis of the name, "Tamana", the autistic daughter of Shayama Chona, who was born with cerebral palsy. She was a victimized and traumatized child, led by her mother from the vicissitudes of despair to hope, which she materialized into a special school which would cater to many such children born with such impairments, deficiencies and abnormalities. The first centre, Tamana Special School was inaugurated by Her Royal Highness, Diana, Princess of Wales, on February 12, 1992. Tamanna (1997 film), was a tongue in cheek, screenplay story based on real life, though not aimed to hurt anyone.[6]
