Shefali Ghosh (born:(?) 1941 - Death: December 31, 2006} is a legendary Bengali regional music artist. Shefali Ghosh brought the Chittagong's regional songs at such a height that has been able to enrich the subcontinent music.[1] She performed more than 20 countries around the world including US, UK, Japan and Middle East.
Early life
Shefali born on 11 January 1941 at Kanungopara of Boalkhali in Chittagong. Among ten siblings she was second.[2] Her father was Krishna Gopal Ghosh and mother was Ashalota Ghosh.After completed primary education she was admitted to the local institution, Muktakeshi Girls High School.
Medals and awards
Shefali Ghosh was awarded the independent Bengali radio sabdasainika medal -1990, Bengali Academy Lifetime Achievement Award 2002 and the Shilpakala Academy award 2003 . After the death she was awarded Ekushey Padak 2006 .।[3]
