Shellanoo Group was founded in mid-2014 by Internet entrepreneur OD Kobo and is based in Israel. The Company currently employs 60 engineers, executives and entrepreneurs. The executive board consists of OD Kobo, Roman Abramovich and Gee Roberson, the former Chairman of Geffen Records, manager of artists Drake, Kanye West, and Nicki Minaj.

Shellanoo Group shareholders include David Guetta, Avicii, Will.I.Am, Tiësto, Sebastian Ingrosso, Nicki Minaj, Benny Andersson, Ash Pournouri (manager of Avicii), Dave Holmes (manager of rock band Coldplay), Gee Roberson, Wayne Barrow (former manager of The Notorious B.I.G.) , EWF Capital led by Marc Booth (the former CEO of MTV Europe), as well as several others.

On March 20, 2015 multi-billionaire businessman Roman Abramovich partnered with Shellanoo Group by leading a $30 million investment round valuing the company at over $100 million.[1] In December 2015, it was first reported in Calcalist Israel's leading business newspaper that Shellanoo Group reached a company valuation of $250 million.[2] On February 12, 2016 it was announced in Yedioth Ahronoth Israel's national daily newspaper that Shellanoo Group is developing interactive artificial intelligence and has accumulated further funding valuing the Company at US $300 million.
