Sherrod Small

Sherrod Small (born August 15, 1973) is an African-American stand-up comedian and television personality.

Early life

Small was born and raised in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, New York by his mother and two sisters.[1] He is the cousin of comedian Chris Rock and his brother Tony Rock.[2]

Career

He often performs at the Comedy Cellar and Comic Strip Live in Manhattan, frequently as the MC. Sherrod was a regular on VH1's Best Week Ever,[2] and serves as a regular guest, occasional ombudsman, and stand-in host of Fox News's late-night satire program Red Eye w/ Greg Gutfeld. He has appeared on Tough Crowd, Premium Blend, and The Chris Rock Show. He can also be seen with John Mayer on the parody cover of Tay Zonday's "Chocolate Rain". He can also be seen on the G4's International Sexy Ladies.

In 2009, Small was a guest commentator on both VH1's 100 Greatest One Hit Wonders of the '80s and 100 Most Shocking Music Moments.

Sherrod is a frequent in studio guest of the Opie and Jim Norton Radio show on SiriusXM Satellite Radio

In 2015, Small was criticized after he physically attacked comedian Mark Normand in a comedy club. Small was provoked after Normand made fun of Small for going over his allotted time on stage.

He currently co-hosts the "Race Wars" podcast with comedian Kurt Metzger.
