Shia eschatology
Shia Muslims have their own beliefs about the apocalypse and mention a collection of events that have been foretold according to Hadiths.
Apocalypse
Apocalypse is the last part of the human life period that occur before resurrection.
Hajj in apocalypse
According to a Hadith of Muhammad, prophet of Islam, one of the emergence signs of apocalypse is when kings go to Hajj pilgrimage for leisure and recreation and rich persons go to Mecca for business.
Islamic Ummah in apocalypse
Muhammad said about his Ummah that they forget 5 things at the apocalypse:
- They love the world and forget the resurrection.
- They love wealth and forget the resurrection account.
- They love the women and forget the Houri.
- They love palaces and forget the tomb.
- They love their and forget the God.
Signs of the reappearance of Mahdi
The collection of events that will occur before the coming back of Muhammad al-Mahdi, an ultimate savior of humankind and the final Imam of the Twelve Imams, according to the Shia beliefs. Signs of the reappearance of Muhammad al-Mahdi are classified to uncertain and certain signs.
Death devil
Based on Shia Imam's traditions, devil will be killed after appearance of Muhammad al-Mahdi.
