Shiba P. Chatterjee
Shiba Prasad Chatterjee (22 February 1903 – 27 February 1989) was a Professor of Geography at the University of Calcutta. He was the President of the International Geographical Union from 1964 to 1968,[1] and suggested the name Meghalaya for one of the states in India. Chatterjee received a Murchison Award in 1959, and the Padma Bhushan in 1985.[2]
