Shiloh-Scott is a St. Louis MetroLink station located adjacent to Scott Air Force Base in Shiloh, IL and is the eastern terminus of the MetroLink system. It opened on June 23, 2003 as part of Phase 2 of the St. Clair County Extension which extended MetroLink 3.5 miles (5.6 km) from College to Shiloh-Scott station.[1] The station is divided into two sections: one side is open to the general public and the other side to those with Scott Air Force Base security clearances.[2] Each side has its own park and ride lot.
Future extension
Design work has been completed on the 5.3-mile (8.5 km) St. Clair Extension of MetroLink from Shiloh-Scott to MidAmerica Airport in Mascoutah, IL, though no funding has yet been secured.[3]
