Shimon Wincelberg (September 26, 1924 September 29, 2004) was an American television writer and Broadway playwright.

Born in Kiel, Germany, he wrote for many television shows from the 1950s, sometimes under the pen names of S. Bar-David, Shimon Bar-David, Simon Wincelberg, and Simon Winvelberg His credits include episodes of Naked City, Mannix, The Time Tunnel, Police Woman, Star Trek ("Dagger of the Mind" and "The Galileo Seven"), Gunsmoke, Have Gun — Will Travel, Lost in Space, and The Paper Chase. He also wrote in the 1990s for Law & Order.

He also wrote the 1959 Broadway play Kataki starring Sessue Hayakawa and Ben Piazza.[1]
