Shinobu Kaze

Shinobu Kaze (風 忍 Kaze Shinobu) is a manga artist member of Dynamic Productions. His real name is Tomoaki Saito (斉藤 智昭 Saitō Tomoaki). He was born in February 13, 1958 in the city of Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture. He joined Dynamic in 1970. His debut was in 1971 with the manga Hyakuen Byoin (100円病院) in the Bessatsu Shonen Magazine of Kodansha.

He was one of the first manga artists known outside Japan thanks to his collaborations in the magazines Heavy Metal with Being a Guy Is All True Grit (Otoko wa Dokyo, 男は度胸), and Epic Illustrated with Heart and Steel (which is one of the first manga published in English and also probably the first manga specifically created for the US market).
