Shiraikaigan Station (白井海岸駅 Shiraikaigan-eki) is a railway station on the Sanriku Railway Company’s Kita-Rias Line located in the village of Fudai, Iwate Prefecture, Japan. It is 48.3 rail kilometers from the terminus of the line at Miyako Station.
Station layout
Shiraikaigan Station has a single side platform serving traffic in both directions. There is no station building. The station is unmanned.
History
Shiraikaigan Station opened on 22 December 1984. Following the 11 March 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, services on a portion of the Sanriku Railway were suspended. The portion from Rikuchū-Noda to Tanohata resumed operations on 1 April 2012.
