Sîan Gibson (born Sîan Foulkes; 30 July 1976) is a Welsh actress and writer perhaps best known for her collaborations with Peter Kay.[1]

Early life

Gibson was raised in Mold, North Wales. Her father was a builder and her mother a housewife. She did consider herself an 'arty' child but did join the local youth theatre in Theatr Clwyd.[2] She studied performing arts at Salford University where she met fellow students Peter Kay and Steve Edge.[3]

Career

Before her role in Peter Kay's Car Share, she had not auditioned for any acting roles for over a year and was working in a call centre in Chester. The success of the series brought Gibson to wider prominence and has opened the door for other roles; she will also return in a second series of Car Share to be recorded in 2016.[2]

Personal life

She is married to Ian and they have one child.[2]
