Sid Hobson
Sidney William Hobson (Australia)was a rugby league footballer.
Described as a 'tough as teak' second rower, Hobson played for the Eastern Suburbs club in the years 1944-49 in Australias major rugby league competition - the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL).[1] Hobson was a member of Easts' 1945 premiership winning side.
Hobson also played for the rural NSW town of Young, the 'Cherry Pickers'.
In 1946 Hobson represented his state after being named as a reserve for NSW on 3 previous occasions.
