Silicone-induced granuloma

Leak of silicone in biological tissues produces an inflammatory reaction, as silicone-induced granuloma (siliconoma).[1]

Effects

Silicone-induced granuloma can be associated with fever,[11] calcitriol-mediated hypercalcemia,[12] reactive amyloidosis.[13][14][15]
