Silvalen (or Herøyholmen) is a village and the administrative centre of the municipality of Herøy in Nordland county, Norway. The village is located on 2 different islands with the Herøysundet strait running between them. The Herøysundet Bridge crosses the strait, connecting both sides of the village. Herøy Church is located in the southern part of the village.[3]
The 0.92-square-kilometre (230-acre) village has a population (2013) of 787. The population density is 855 inhabitants per square kilometre (2,210/sq mi).[1]
