Simone Bailly is a famous Canadian actress who has worked extensively in the US and Canada. She is best known for her television roles on The L Word, Battlestar Galactica, Smallville, Stargate SG-1, Da Vinci's City Hall, and the EA video game Need for Speed: Most Wanted. Most recently, she can be seen on Limitless (CBS), as well as DC's Legends of Tomorrow (CW). Simone has also appeared in numerous feature films such as Life Partners, Good Luck Chuck, and I Spy. Ms. Bailly has worked in all genres from sci-fi to action to comedy. Simone spends her time between Los Angeles & Vancouver, BC.
Bailly began her career in theater and has since focused on TV and film. She performed & toured with a Shakespeare company, and sang in a hip hop/funk/jazz band. Simone has been immersed in theatre, dance, athletics, singing and modeling from a young age. She is a certified yoga instructor, and PADI open water scuba diver. In her spare time she enjoys yoga, longboard skateboarding, pole dancing classes, snowboarding, and playing pool.
Television
Simone Bailly played Brandy Jo Hawkins, a notorious sniper on Limitless (CBS).
Simone played a head Time Master in the future on DC's Legends of Tomorrow (CW), directed by Glen Winter.
Bailly is most often recognized from her recurring role on Showtime's The L Word. She appeared as Grace, the intern for OurChart who develops a love relationship with the transgendered character Max Sweeney in the fourth and fifth seasons.[1]
Bailly played Shona in the Battlestar Galactica series finale ("Daybreak").
On Smallville, Bailly guest-starred as Star, the potion peddler in the Valentine's Day episode, "Crimson" (season six).
Bailly had a recurring role as Ka'lel on three seasons of Stargate SG-1. On Stargate she met actor/director Peter DeLuise, who later co-starred with Bailly in the comedic film noir short "The Bar", which debuted on the film festival circuit and is now on funnyordie.com.[2]
Gamers may also recognize Bailly as the sexy cop in the EA video game Need for Speed: Most Wanted.
As Constable Jan Ferris on Da Vinci's City Hall aka Da Vinci's Inquest, Bailly played the leader of a gang of renegade cops. In preparation for the role, Bailly rode with police officers to some of the toughest areas in the city, witnessing first-hand the many dangers and realities of being a cop. She also had additional tactical training and learned how to handle firearms and other devices that go with the job. On Da Vinci's Inquest, her performance so won over the writers a one-episode part evolved into a multiple-episode arc and finally a regular role.
