Simone Rizzato (born 21 September 1981 in Terracina) is an Italian professional football player who currently plays for Serie B side Trapani. He was the former captain of Reggina Calcio.
Career
He debuts in Serie C2 with Fano at the age of 17 years.
On July 2001 he moved to Vis Pesaro where he played two seasons in Serie C1.
On July 2003 it was bought by Torino where in a season and a half played 30 matches in Serie B, before moving to ChievoVerona on loan where he remained a few months without ever debut in Serie A.
On August 2005 was back in Serie B with Catanzaro and the following January played again in Serie C1 with Perugia.
On July 2006 arrives at Ancona where he played for two seasons as a starter in Serie C1, after which reaches promotion to Serie B.
On July 2009 he was bought by Reggina and he played 40 matches in domestic league. In the first match day of the season of Serie B 2011–2012 (Reggina–Modena) he made his first goal with the amaranth jersey, the game ended 4-1 for Reggina. In the same season he became team captain.
